Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Ruaa Reader (Android package com.ruaa.ruaa_reader) handles information when you use the app. Ruaa Reader is a PDF reading app that keeps your library, reading progress, bookmarks, notes, and preferences on your device.
Information we store on your device
The app stores the following locally on your device:
- References to PDF files you open (via Android storage access)
- Reading progress, bookmarks, and notes
- Reading goals and reminder settings
- App preferences such as theme and language
Your PDF files themselves remain under your control in device or cloud storage you choose. We do not operate a Ruaa Reader account system, and we do not upload your documents to our own servers.
Permissions
- Internet — used to load advertisements
- Notifications — optional reading-goal reminders
- Exact alarms / wake lock / boot completed — used to schedule and restore reading-goal reminders
Advertising
Ruaa Reader displays ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect device and usage information (such as advertising ID, IP address, and interaction data) according to Google’s policies in order to provide and measure ads.
Analytics
This privacy policy website may use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. The Ruaa Reader mobile app does not require you to create an account with us.
Children’s privacy
Ruaa Reader is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. Uninstalling Ruaa Reader removes the app’s local database and preferences.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
